Commissions

Recently, when representing the Buyer in the sale of a house, I overheard this conversation. "The more you pay for that house the more the Realtor makes, so don't trust that Realtor." Spoken like a true idiot.

The diffrence between $300,000 and $310,000 purchase price is roughly $150 to the Realtor. Any realtor worth their salt and who has been in business for 10 seconds would realize that $150 is nothing in the whole scheme of things.

In light of this revelation, do you really think that a Realtor would pay attenttion to a $10,000 spread? I don't think so.
