Tarps and Staging don't Equal Leaky Condo

Blog by Claire LeLacheur | October 29th, 2009

Vancouver has a lot of new construction going on these days, and has had for awhile. Those buildings over time, will start to get older. A building of 10-15 years will start to have things going on with it that will require maintenance for the overall upkeep and well being of the building.

Some of these maintenance items include, decks and patio resurfacing, new roofs, membrane repair, window replacement, the list can go on and on. The fact that the strata is looking after and replacing these things is a very good thing - you wouldn't want them to let the building to get completely decrepid? The repair and maintenance of some of these items requires that the workers set up tarps and staging to make the work easier.

This does not automatically mean that the condo is leaky. It just means they are doing work - always a good thing. You wouldn't judge a book by its cover, a person by their dresss, so why would you jusdge a building by it's tarps?
