Pet Deposits

If you have an investment property inhabited by a tenant with a pet on top of the 1/2 months security deposit you can also charge a pet deposit if the tenants have a pet.

The pet deposit can be up to one full months rent. Half can be taken on the pet and the other half can be taken for the damage the pet may cause to the property and to guard against accidents. This can be taken at 0% interest rate as per the Residential Tenancy Act ammended in 2009.
