Blog by Claire LeLacheur | May 13th, 2009

if you are a Buyer and planning to move into a tenant occupied property, then you must serve the tenant with written notice. the tenant must be given 60 days notice from the first of the next month. Before notice can be given to the tenant the Buyer must have a subject free offer and inform the Seller in writing that they would like to inhabit the property themselves.

Notice must be handed to the tenant in writing 4 days before the first of the next month to be deemed accepted.

The landlord must credit the tenant with one full months rent.
